Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)

PeelPros TCA comes in several sizes to choose from, which is medical grade, non-prescription, Trichloroacetic acid. Stronger than jessner, glycolic, salicylic, or lactic acids. TCA should be diluted with purified water (especially for facial peels), since professional TCA treatments are commonly done with 10-25% TCA solutions. A weaker solution is suggested for delicate peels such as around the eyes or lip area. And a stronger solution for tattoos and stubborn hyperpigmentation and lines.

Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is typically used as an intermediate-to-deep peeling agent in concentrations of 10 to 35%. This type of peel is useful for people with surface wrinkles, superficial blemishes, and pigmentation problems. TCA may be used on the face and neck as well as other areas of the body such as the hands, forearms, legs, and chest. The treatment is rapid, requiring only thirty minutes from beginning to end. There is some burning upon application. Because it is a deeper treatment, your “downtime” will be approximately 10-14 days. During this time of peeling and healing, you will be required to keep your facial skin moist with an antibacterial ointment. After you are healed, sunscreen use is very important because you are initially much more sensitive to harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun.

The instructions explain how to do a patch test to determine what strength solution to use for your skin and how to dilute the TCA to the strength you prefer. It’s always best to start with a weak solution, performing a patch test, then go stronger if desired. Once applied, there will be a burning sensation, and may frost shortly there after. A neutralizer is not needed since TCA deactivates after 3-5 minutes on the skin. Following this, you can expect your skin to be completely healed within ten to fourteen days. At that time you will notice improvement in the appearance of your skin, which will have less wrinkles, blemishes, and pigmentation problems. You will also notice a healthy glow as your face appears radiant and shining.

TCA is also good for  SUN-DAMAGED SKIN and DARK SPOTS! Hyperpigmentation (darkened skin) and age spots will lighten or disappear by the medium-deep peeling action of TCA, which sheds off those damaged surface skin cells, revealing new, smoother skin beneath. Greatly improves ACNE and BLACKHEADS by shedding away the outer layer of skin that blocks infection in the pores, allowing the infection to clear out and the pores to heal! SCARS and Tattoos lighten or fade away (depending on the number of treatments and the depth of scars/tattoos)! LIP CREASES decrease in depth, thereby reducing the crease size and preventing lipstick seepage. New surface skin is now clear and smooth.

Also great for:

Tattoos, Skin Tags, Acne, Age Spots, Birthmarks, Keratosis, Warts, Scars, Sun-Damaged Skin, White Spots, Semi Permanent Makeup, Hormonal Mask, Liver Spots, Large Pores, Hyperpigmentation, Pimples, Fine Lines, Freckling, Crow’s Feet, Flaky Skin, Lip Creases, Stretch Marks.

Trichloroacetic Acid is the active ingredient in the popular “in-office” dermatologist peels. TCA peels costs $500+ through skin care clinics, estheticians, and cosmetic surgeons.
